The last picture I took was the one of Christopher and I was about to ask Charlie, who was seated next to him, to take one of us together, but then thought better of it as, across the table was a bored, but patient Bird sitting next to the Legumes. I decided to request a picture with her instead. Look at her in the background of C’s picture, then in the one with me. I’m glad I listened to the impulse. Christopher was happy in his bookish world, but Lydia was longing for to be with the grown ups and patiently enduring her banishment to the kids’ table.
This first photo, the one of you and Lydia, is really beautiful. Both of you are stunning in it.
Really, really beautiful.
Thanks, Sherry.

Please tell your sister Happy Birthday and I love the name Willa. She’s an adorable baby, too. I want to reach through the computer and eat her up 🙂
