“Tomorrow, Ren and I are going to pick raw bunsies all day long!”
This got my attention as “bunsies” is a family name for one’s posterior, “Excuse me?” I asked.
“You know, Raw Bunsies!” She gestured out the window at a flower bed.
“Are you talking about the flowers?”
“Yeah, the pink ones, Rennie and I named them Raw Bunsies because they look like bunsies that are raw?”
“Have you seen a bunsie that is raw?” I asked.
“Yeah.”
“Where?”
“With Grandma at her friend’s house.”
Before the sirens started screaming I breathed in and asked one more question, “You saw someone’s raw bottom at a friend of Grandma’s?”
“A Raw Bunsie! The flower! With Grandma!”
