I read this in the foreword of a book by a young man who has ADHD. Reading this sentence, tears sprang from my eyes.
Reading it again, I don’t have the visceral response, but wondered if someone else didn’t need to read it too.

Thank you for posting this. My high-energy, strong-willed 2 1/2 year old often pushes me to my limits. I needed this gentle reminder not to squelch his spirit, only tame it when necessary.
