Yes, I see you staring at me.
No, I don’t want to let you out and start the carnival of consumption and elimination.
Yes, it’s admirable that you are sitting quietly.
Yes, you are a very good boy. I might even love you.
Would you please not do your business on the deck? I know it’s a pain walking that extra 3 feet and all but it’s important to me.
OK, I’ll let you out…after one more cup of coffee…and a shower.

It was just about a year ago exactly that we were going through all this with Super Fudge.
I remember well the exhaustion.
You should glance at my archives for March and April of 2006. There are quite a few posts with a similar tone and some darn cute photos of the new pup. The March 2006 photos were taken when Fudge was eleven weeks old. You said yours is twelve? I see similar expressions on their faces–and similar sizes to their feet.
Fudge never did grow into his. They are still enormous, even though his legs only grew thick, not long. His head still seems to be oversized for his body, as well. I’m afraid he is never going to win any beauty contests, but he is cute in his own way.
Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve posted any photos since the ones last April. I’ll have to get on that when I finally get off of this couch.
