All of us (Me, my colleagues, Torey and her daughter, Ren) were driving to the park. Every child was talking and asking questions. Each little voice was like a sharp stick to the ear.
“Baybee, I jusst want them to stop tall-keen,” I said in Ukranian to Torey, “and I do not have PMS anymore so I am worrying theet I am seempully a beach.”

Wouldn’t it be great sometimes if you could wear headphones while driving? I’m thinking that is not entirely legal. Crazy insistence on being able to hear horns and sirens and such…
I have a friend who keeps earplugs in the car. He sometimes wears them while driving. I don’t know if it is legal either, but it’s better than pulling over and harming yourself and/or your screaming offspring.
For the record, if you are a beach, daaarlin, then I am too.
