When I was barely 30 I said to Paul, “In our twenties those kids broke us down. Let’s spend our thirties getting back our strength so we sail into our forties with all our flags flying.” He thought this was a good idea and (off and on) followed my advice.
I ignored it and sat on my duff for several more years.

Interesting observation.
As I fear I may still be sitting on my duff, can you tell me what Paul did to begin getting his strength back? I’d like to try it.

A way he stays fit is to play basketball several times a week. When the big kids were little he stopped, but playing regularly is a priority for him.
