Yesterday I cleaned, did laundry, taught school, helped extricate a poo lodged in a Bean’s bum, rescued a processor from the toilet, saved a Bean from choking on three quarters and then assisted her while she worked out another job on the potty.
As I wiped the saliva off the quarters I thought, “This is my life. This is my job.”
It is a humbling gig, and yet I am proud.

Often it seems so much lesser, doesn’t it? But it’s kingdom work, and pretty grand stuff.

I’m proud of you, too! This mommy business is tough, tough work. Not only do you have to do the jobs that nobody else wants to do, you are also faced with beautiful, horrible, accurate little mirrors of yourself, and those people are your co-workers, subordinates, and your heart all wrapped in little bodies. Bravo, Mommy! Keep up the good work!

“helped extricate a poo lodged in a Bean’s bum” – lol! 🙂 Did you ever imagine, in your dreams of writing, that this phrase would ever manifest itself?

Scott and Sheila,
Jesus is pretty big on the least of these. I know I am in the right place to be (continually!) refined.
KMJ,
No. Never. 🙂
