It’s a nice night and I am staying awake. It’s a little bit boring when I have to go to sleep. Birdie and Beanie are asleep and our Dad is gone to Venezuela.
It’s a little bit boring when Dad’s not here and we don’t have enough people to play hide-and-seek. Hide-and-seek is for night and day. I hope I could have some fun in the morning. I would have to be gentle to my sisters and my friends so I won’t lose all my money. I only have $8 left. And I am miserable. I hope I can get some more money by having a job. I would be sad if I lose all of my money. And I would have to work for about five years to earn a lot of money.
I hope you have fun.
With love from C. Riley H.

Hey CRH–
I certainly hope you don’t lose all your money. I would hate for you to have to work for five more years.
My son, Tano, has been working very hard this week in his dad’s woodshop. He is earning some money to take on vacation with him next week, so he can buy a t-shirt in California.
Tano’s dad lets him sand rocking chair parts and he does a very good job. It is very dusty and sometimes hot in the shop and the work is difficult, so he gets very tired, but he is happy to be earning some money.
His dad is proud of him. I’ll bet your parents are very proud of you, too. Be good to your sisters and friends and have a great day!

Dear C. Riley H:
I understand you money issues. I, too, would have to work at least five years to accumulate a lot of money.
Best of luck.
